Target muscles:
- latissimus dorsi, teres major, posterior deltoids to move arms to the back under resistance from straps
- lower trapezius together with latissimus dorsi to stabilise shoulder blades
- erector spinae to raise the upper back above neutral
- transversus abdominis, a deep core stabilisor
- obliques, gluteus maximus and hamstrings to stabilise pelvic region
